Belinda Chiu

Belinda believes in the power of play to bring authenticity and compassion for a happier planet. A lifelong companion of trees, she hiked over the French Pyrenees and across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. She and her pink-nosed pup and elite athlete, Bandit, now roam the trails of northern New England. Belinda is a certified yoga instructor, and a student of tai chi, kung fu, and improv comedy, which honestly, sometimes blur together.
Founder of Hummingbird research coaching consulting, she teaches, writes, and researches on emotional intelligence, resilient leadership, and purposeful play with organizations such as Ignition Coaching and the Tuck School of Business. An ICF-accredited and Goleman EI-certified executive coach and Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute Certified Teacher, she works with leaders from academia, to government agencies, to the Fortune 1000. She is the author of the book, The Mindful College Applicant: Cultivating Emotional Intelligence for the Admissions Process and a regular contributor on Thrive Global. Belinda holds a bachelor’s from Dartmouth College, a master’s from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and a doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University.
